EXAMPLES

• Mini stays for European groups, children or adults, travelling in their own coach who want to stay in homes in Shropshire and visit places of interest. English lessons arranged on request.
• Special interest educational programmes can focus on a broad range of subjects from the Industrial Revolution, Roman Britain or alternative technology to flora and fauna. Youth Exchange Service organised a 'Shropshire Fortnight' for Friends of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, USA.
• Music-based programmes for visiting bands, choirs or other musical groups who want to give performances in the county and experience life with a Shropshire family.
• Medical-based programmes - Youth Exchange Service has organised several stays for the Baptist School of Nursing in Kyoto, Japan.
• The British Way of Life - we have been a homestay base for the past 29 years for American Junior and Senior High School students who spend three or four days hosted by a local family, resulting in many long-lasting friendships between families in Shropshire and the United States.
