Youth
Exchange Service currently has some 350 work placements around Shropshire.

Available throughout the year

Minimum period two weeks (14 days)
- Open
to individuals age 16 and over with a level of English adequate to
work in the chosen placement
 REQUIREMENTS
- Trainees
must have EU nationality

Maximum 39 hours' work over seven-day period
- Travel
to and from Shropshire organised by trainee
- All
trainees are met on arrival by hosts and representative of Youth Exchange
Service
- Applications
usually required eight weeks in advance, especially for placements
in June, July and August
- Applications
must be made in ENGLISH and supplied with a copy of identity card
or passport confirming EU nationality
- Applicants
seeking a business placement must send a photograph of themselves
in appropriate office clothing
- Trainees
are responsible for the cost of travel to and from work (though usually
they are hosted close enough to walk) and entertainment, such as visits
to the cinema.
- Trainess must
have medical insurance
Repatriation - in case of illness or disciplinary reasons - trainess
must have medical insurance and any return home because of disciplinary
problems is at their own expense and no refund is given.
